Aloha! We are Hunter and Emily Hancock. Our story begins with our name, the Hancock Hale. The Hancock family has called Oahu home for three generations, since 1969. We have a small homestead acre where we garden and raise chickens. Hale, (pronounced ha-lay) is the Hawaiian word for house. We love and cherish this land and seek daily to make our hale a loving home. We are passionate about sustainability, both in the environment and our own home, and strive everyday to create a healthier and happier world.
Hunter was born and raised on the North Shore of Oahu. We met in 2014 shortly after Emily moved to Oahu from Arizona to attend college. They were married in January 2019 on the North Shore and have a son who was born in December 2020. Emily comes from a large family of gardeners and bakers and has been perfecting her childhood craft for the last 5 years. We love to bake sourdough bread, make tasty desserts and treats, and eat fresh, healthy Hawaiian inspired meals.
