Mango Basil Lemonade

Ingredients:

1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice (about 4 lemons)

1 cup mango (fresh or frozen)

1/2-1 cup honey basil simple syrup

Filtered water

First, make the honey basil simple syrup. In a small saucepan, combine 1.5 cups water, 1.5 cups raw honey, and 1.5 cups fresh basil. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the honey and water have fully incorporated. Strain out the basil and set aside to cool.

In a blender, combine the lemon juice and mango. Blend until smooth. Pour the mango lemon mixture into a large pitcher. Add 1/2 cup of the cooled honey basil simple syrup. Fill the rest of the pitcher with cold filtered water. Add more simple syrup to your desired sweetness. Serve over ice, garnish with fresh basil and enjoy!
